New N3E Process May Be Used to Mass Produce the A17 Bionic, Which May Cost More Than TSMC’s N3

In fact, Apple reportedly paid twice as much for the A16 Bionic compared to the A15 Bionic, likely due to shifting from 5nm to 4nm, so that may give you a rough estimation of how much the new chipset can cost. One report claimed that the A16 Bionic costs Apple around $110 to make, which is more than 10 percent of the iPhone 14 Pro’s retail price in the United States.
